5 Ingredient Banana + Oat Cookies

Have you wondered what to do with bananas that are nearly too brown to deal with? Make banana bread! Ha, ha just kidding. That’s a classic go-to with bananas, but these 5 ingredient bananas + oat cookies are easier and just as tasty as classic banana bread.

Spend around 10 minutes whipping up a batch of these healthy, yet tasty cookies. Throw in chocolate chunks, raisins, or nuts for an extra nutritious punch. 

FLAXSEED

The flaxseed goes unnoticed and adds ALA Omega 3 fatty acids. One of the healthier fats that is occasionally a point of concern for those following a plant-based diet. Sneaking flaxseed into meals is an excellent way to stay on top of nutrient intake.

5 Ingredient Banana + Oat Cookies

A perfect sweet tooth treat 

Course Dessert
Servings 10

Ingredients

  • 1 cup gluten-free oats
  • 2 bananas ripe
  • 1 Tbsp flaxseed meal
  • 1 Tbsp cocoa powder
  • peanut butter drizzle optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350F

  2. In a blender add the cup of oats and blend until flour-like consistency is reached. 

  3. Using a separate bowl mash bananas. Mash em' real good. 

  4. Once mashed add oat flour, cocoa powder, and flaxseed meal and mix together until combined. 

  5. Scoop batter out into little dollops onto a lightly greased baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes.

Recipe Notes

you can use parchment paper instead of greasing. 

KEEP REFRIGERATED AFTER BAKING- but seriously, just trust me on this one.
